Organic beef process
High quality organic soil leads to nutritious organic pastures, which leads to healthy organic animals. To ensure that this high standard persists through to the end product that arrives on your plate, we personally oversee the cut and packing process of our organic meat.
The organic beef process at our own licensed organic butchery on the farm enables us to have
total quality control. For added tenderness and flavour the organic meat is firstly dry-aged on the bone, then expertly carved and precisely trimmed. Immediately following this, the products are vacuum-packed to ensure freshness.
Great personal effort is taken to ensure gourmet quality organic beef!
Butchery
Due to the high costs and time consuming logistics of taking our premises through organic certification, we have not certified our butchery. Only animals from Waima Hill Organic Farm are processed in our farm butchery. This can easily be tracked through the NAIT-tagging system.
We are taking thorough precautions to make sure the meat retains organic and bio-dynamic quality while it is processed, but this part has not been certified.
We are confident that the products that you purchase are tender and that the personal care we take shines through in the outstanding taste of Waima Hill Organic Beef.
